24th April 2010 - We're now in Torquay

Post by Jeff »

Quick post as batteries aren't too charged. Will add photos when we've managed to charge up.

It transpired that Rose's brother Charles was headed south from North Yorkshire to Torquay for the annual young farmers bash which is hosted there. From what I can gather it's more of an annual booze up! Anyway, we thought we'd make the effort to get over to Torquay and try to meet up with him.

So yesterday (23rd April 2010) we set off from Salcombe just before 11am and arrived in Torquay, after a fairly sedate and uneventful sail, at just after 6pm. Over 7 hours at sea - quite a long one for us so we were pretty tired by the end of it.

Unsure what the plan is for the next few days but I think we're going to go back to Dartmouth before continuing east as we can't very well miss out a visit to Dartmouth really!
