My cousin wants to buy used sailboat from England.
Do you have any idea about how he can get captain licence ?
How long it keeps to get ?
His sailboat will be 55-57ft. (bareboat )

You don't need any licence to own and operate a boat in UK waters.

Not clear from the OP but since he's has concerns with a charter Co maybe he means to charter in the uk ,anyway as you say no licence is required for normal use .......more is the pity ,maybe if there was my Davits may not have been molested
