Unfortunately the way it's laid out is illegal .Boot It Out wrote:Just to let you fine people know, especially those named ALAN,

Thanks for you extremely helpful input Terry
If you check the advert there are photographs of the Legal Plate,
plus a "Show Plate" for use other than on a Public Road,
together with the wordng :
" ..... be aware that Registration Plates displayed on a vehicle used on a Public Road,
must comply with legislation relating to the style of lettering and spacing."

Thanks for the enlightenment ,however your title of your thread States that you are offering a UK plate that reads HMS ÅLAN ....... It clearly doesn't . To be road legal ,as you point out ,it has to read HM 54 LAN .Boot It Out wrote:Thanks for you extremely helpful input Terry

Are you for real, or just winding me up ?
In the title - HMS ALAN is enclosed within quotation marks.
This is then clearly explained in the body of the message.
The first sentence says ".... which reads like "HMS ALAN" !" - Note the word LIKE
Just like MR51 NGH can read "like" MR SINGH,
or COM 1 C can read "like" COMIC !
You are incorrect when you say say I am "offering a UK plate that reads HMS ÅLAN",
as I have not stated that.
I am well aware of the Law relating to the display of Registration Plates,
which is why in the Main advert linked to, there are links to DVLA advice on the subject.
As you're being so pedantic about this please also note you have made a second error,
in that on a UK legal plate there is no space after the "HM" and before the "54"
so it should read HM54 LAN, not the "HM 54 LAN" that you have incorrectly stated would be the road legal version !
If you don't know what a "Show Plate" is, that probably explains your posts
Thanks for those posts though - they keep refreshing my advert to the top of the tree
