Windows media player problem

Post by DaveA »

Hope someone has some ideas on this
For some reason, if I try to use windows media player to view a video, I get sound only
Real player works fine but some videos want to open in windows only, so I have to save them, then open in real player, which is a right royal pita
anyone know what the problem is ?

Probably need to install, or reinstall, codecs. Or check that the video card software is set to default.

Excellent thanks, that's got windows media classic working fine, but it opens in a small window and even the stretch to full size then close and try again method still opens in a small window. Any ideas ?

are you talking about the image size, or the entire WMP window size?

Open a new WMP Full size it. Hold down SHIFT, then left click on the close X at top right
