Know what you mean mate, been a tad busy here too. But at least I've managed a fair ammount of sailing too :D pity it's been on other peoples boats though. Still trying to sort out the mast and rigging here, and collected a load of stuff to help with that, but now it's too hot to work on her.

What is the minimum size boat ?

For living aboard, obviously
Sixpence is only 21ft and wife would like to go much bigger before she will go for it, but I'm trying to keep the size down to reduce costs etc. So how big or small is managable ?

Hadn't thought about those points, but I suppose it does make sense. Mine are three litre plastic bottles so each one would hold enough to last a while. But the distribution issue is definately something I hadn't thought about, and the dumping to lose weight too.
Must get me one of them books

Boat battery has to be a main consideration for me too. Using an on loan outboard with only a small charging coil so need to keep the battery use closely monitored.

We definately have plenty in common then  First thought for me was to use an old cd player/radio that I have already, and mount it in the bulkhead between the anchor chain locker and the cabin. Daft idea. That would end up soaking :D Another reason for looking out for an alternative really

Glad you mentioned that, must admit I had forgotten about the weight of the pan. May well have to add extra weight or restrict the movement of the hob a bit.
Bit on the lazy side here too  though I tend to like fiddling with stuff to make it do what I want :o :D

Can't be hard to do I wouldn't have thought. As for pan restrai...
