Make sure you explain to them that this is not spam or advertising and ask for help, I'm sure someone will do what they can

Repairing and reinforcing spreaders, thoughts and ideas plea
Well, the latest in a string of disasters struck yesterday when I tried to raise the mast on Sixpence (Debutante 21) and the port side spreader ended up hanging on by one remaining rivet. Repaired earlier this year and replaced the rivets (proper monel type used) but as the mast has been laying on d...

Hi Bob, couldn't agree more about how much better it is at a marina, with power and water right next to her, and lights on the pontoon, it's going to make things a lot easier. No idea about the price yet, got to speak to the owner today to find out, but I suppose I needed to give up smoking anyway a...

Your post count is building nicely BB :D The damage has been to the areas of wood that were rubbing and crunching at the posts, one being the rubbing strip (funnily enough) which has worn back in a large section that now needs replacing, and other parts that now need working on as they're worse than...

Just to update, can't post the video yet, but we decided to move Sixpence to Fosdyke Marina and stick the mast up, but when we arrived and inspected the damage caused we had to make a quick decision on her future. Pretty badly knocked about so we are now marina based, anyone coming to Fosdyke marina...

Thanks Bob, much appreciated, the flow at that point is indeed very strong but made even stronger when the EA open the sluice to let out surplus rain water from the river system. Just got back from viewing her as they've decided to open that very sluice and I don't think she'll be staying there for ...

Rigging a boom preventer
I think I get the idea behind this, but if wrong, please let me know As far as I understand it's to hold the boom out and stop it swinging from one side to the other uncontrolled, which could take a head off ? If so, how do I manage it ? Sorry for the dumb question, managed to figure out quite a bit...

Hi Bob, one job for this week is to try and sort that out, but amazingly the lock keeper is apparently away on holiday :o I have been given permission from the owner of one of the tidal moorings to stick her on there so we can sail straight out into the Wash, but definately no way do I want to stop ...
